In a thrilling showdown Oct. 17, the Cypress Lake Panthers fought hard to secure the victory over the Island Coast Gators. The varsity football players showed teamwork and resilience against the Gators to bring on a final score of 34-22, Panthers. The tensions were high entering the third district game of the season, but the Panthers showed nothing but determination. The CLHS Panthers are now one game away from being named district champions and advancing to the playoffs. There are two more chances to cheer on the football team before the playoffs: Oct. 25 at Lemon Bay and Nov. 1 against Mariner High School. Nov. 1 is the homecoming game as well as senior night so make sure to come out and cheer on the Panthers.
