The Future Educators of America (FEA) is a club at Cypress dedicated to supporting schools in any way they can. The club is run by Mrs. Stutz, who said, “The club is mainly focused on doing what they can, when they can.” The students participate in volunteer work and events that show their appreciation to school staff. An example of this is the upcoming volunteer opportunity that is being held at Franklin Park Elementary where the club will assist in guiding students through reading lessons and allowing them to develop their reading skills.
Ashley-Marie Ximinies, a member of FEA, said, “My favorite part of this club is the community, it is really nice and provides new opportunities to make friends.” Ximinies has found her experience in FEA has been nothing short of rewarding and positive.
The opportunity to gain volunteer experience is crucial during high school. Not only due to the scholarship opportunities but also because it is beneficial to the developing mind. Helping others is the foundation of FEA and is the basis for their work. Dedicated member Daniella Sosa said, “I feel like it’s nice that we show appreciation towards teachers, I want them to use it as motivation and acknowledgement.”
The club’s main goals for 2025 are to get out there and help as much as they can. With their reliable leadership and determined members, they are sure to accomplish their goals. Students are encouraged to join this group and make a difference within the community.
