Cypress Lake Marching Pride is excited to share this year’s show, “Latin Waves.” Under the expert direction of Randy J. Webb, the band has been captivating audiences with this Latin-American themed performance.
Leading the ensemble is Samantha Santiesteban Yaunner, whose amazing leadership has been instrumental in the band’s success. This show features an exciting repertoire including “Santa Esmeralda,” an electrifying opener for the performance, and “Waves,” a soulful ballad that truly showcases the band’s musicality. Each piece is hand-chosen and choreographed to express the rich melody of Latin American music, bringing a unique and dynamic experience to the audience.
The Marching Pride is crucial to Friday night home football games, providing stand-tunes and cadences from the stands in order to hype up the crowd.
As they continue to refine their show every week, they are gearing up for the end of season performance at MPA. This competitive showcase will be taking place Nov. 2 at Fort Myers High School, where the hard work of all the local bands will truly come to light.
Under Band Director Mr. Webb, Cypress has an unbroken streak of Superior performance assessments at MPAs, and the band intends to continue that this year. The Cypress Lake Marching Pride is sure to leave a lasting impression this season. Keep an eye out at halftime and make sure to cheer them on as they march towards success.
