The local crochet club is establishing their 2024-2025 Stitch and Chat. Members of all skills come together to share their passion for crocheting.

The club has become a welcoming haven for students of all skill levels, providing a space where creativity and community thrive. “I wanted to join this club because I knew that there’s a great community and a safe place. They’re not judgmental at all and they invite everyone,” said Sofia Grimaldi, a sophomore.

At their first meeting on Sept. 20, new members and returning members introduced themselves in a gracious manner. Members shared a bit about themselves, and the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive. Crocheting is an incredible craft that blends creativity with relaxation. Each stitch offers a sense of calm focus, allowing crafters to unwind while creating something unique.

Under the guidance of their sponsor Mrs. Yaunner, the club helps develop both artistic expression and strong friendships. “I love setting the students’ creativity flourish and the friendships that form. It’s fulfilling to watch them grow and support each other,” Mrs. Yaunner shared, reflecting on the club’s positive and inclusive atmosphere.
