The sun shined warmly on this year’s Senior Sunrise event, allowing the seniors to gather at the football field from 6:30 to 7:05 and savor the morning together. Many students showcased their creative senior jeans and picture boards as they munched on Chicken Minis and donut holes, courtesy of the Senior class officers.
“I’m looking forward to graduating and moving onto the next phase in my life,” Olivia Parks admitted, echoing the common sentiment that they are looking forward to graduation.
Other seniors are most excited about other major events such as our dances. “I’m looking forward to prom!” Ariya King said, when seniors put on their nicest dresses or suits, head downtown, and enjoy the party!
Max Uriarte expressed that he’s looking forward to Grad Bash, the seniors-only trip to Universal Studios in April, where seniors from all over Florida gather and get the park to themselves.
Many shared that while they were excited about the future, they were hesitant to leave behind friends. “I look forward to seeing my friends because this would be one of the last times I see most of them,” said Mason Kershaw.
Andy Ngo said that his main goal is “making the best out of [his] last year of high school.” This is the last year to make memories, and the last year to essentially be a kid, and all the seniors are determined to enjoy every minute of it.
