The stakes were high as the 2-5 Cypress Lake Panthers headed into the game against the 2-4 South Fort Myers Wolfpack Friday, Oct. 2. At the half South was winning 7-0, but the first touchdown for the Panthers would come soon into the third quarter. The Wolfpack won 21-6 but the Panthers gave everything they had and showed great teamwork.
While this game had its setbacks there were some star players. Isaiah Livingstone had 71.7 rushing yards. Joey Dube-Garrett had 192.3 passing yards and a 184.3 total. Rashawn Anderson had 99.4 receiving yards.
While the Panthers didn’t quite get the result they hoped for, they still put up a good fight on both sides of the ball. They will be facing Island Coast Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. for their homecoming game which is also their second district game. For any students looking to show up and show out the dress up theme is purple out.
