The CLHS Lady Panthers faced the Lely Trojans at home last night on Sept. 30.
The night started off strong with the JV team taking the win in two straight sets, 25-14 and 25-19, led by outstanding performances from Emmy Gates and Kiara Olivares.
The varsity team fell short, though not for a lack of effort. The Lady Panthers put up 18 points in both of their first two sets and 15 in the final set, but could not quite keep up with Lely. The team fought hard, especially McKenna Thompson who had undoubtedly the best performance of the night.
The Lady Panthers look forward to taking a win for their senior night on Oct. 1 against Bonita Springs.
